Pregnancy Wellbeing Online Antenatal Classes
For First and Second Trimesters
This online package of four classes is designed to support your physical and emotional wellbeing during pregnancy. Each session is delivered by a hospital specialist, giving you trusted information and the chance to ask questions.
Class Schedule:
- Week 1: Midwife & Pharmacist
- Week 2: Physiotherapist
- Week 3: Dietitian
- Week 4: Perinatal Mental Health Team
Classes are held online, repeated monthly, and suitable for early and mid-pregnancy.

Pelvic Girdle and Lower Back Pain Class
Online Physiotherapy Information Session
Pregnancy related Pelvic girdle pain (PGP) is pain which is felt around the, lower back, pelvic joints hips and thighs. It is common and can affect greater than 50% of women during pregnancy. Lower and upper back pain can be associated with changes in your body during pregnancy.
For these conditions, we offer an online information session with an expert physiotherapist in pelvic and back pain. Our focus is to help you stay healthy and active during your pregnancy, giving you the tools to manage your symptoms and guidance on exercise.
This session gives you plenty of opportunity to ask questions and alleviate fears associated with movement and your pain.
Individual appointments can be organised for those who require it after implementing the invaluable advice and exercises from the class.

Protecting your Pelvic Floor in Pregnancy and Beyond
Online Physiotherapy Information Session
This online session has been specifically designed to support women managing pelvic floor issues in pregnancy
This session aims to provide patients with practical advice to improve bladder, bowel or prolapse symptoms during pregnancy as well as strategies for labour and delivery.

Healthy Bodies After Birth
Online Physiotherapy Information Session
Our physiotherapy team runs a weekly online session focused on caring for your body after birth.
This session covers:
- Bladder and bowel health
- Pelvic floor recovery
- Abdominal care and healing
- Safe return to movement and exercise
- Q and A with physiotherapist
The session is suitable for:
- Antenatal mums in the third trimester
- Postnatal mums up to 12 weeks after birth

Gynaecology and Pelvic Floor Classes
Preparing for Surgery Class
Online Physiotherapy Information Session
Our physiotherapy team runs a monthly online session focused on preparing yourself for gynaecological surgery, including prolapse repair, hysterectomy and bladder surgeries.
This session aims to provide you with practical advice to improve your bladder, bowel or prolapse symptoms while you wait for your surgery and improve your recovery after surgery.
What to Expect:
- Bladder and bowel health
- Pelvic floor recovery
- Guided pelvic floor muscle exercises
- Advice on safe return to movement and exercise
- Q and A with physiotherapist

Taking Control Class
Online Physiotherapy Information Session
This session has been specifically designed to support women who are waiting to see a gynaecologist in The National Maternity Hospital.
Who Should Attend:
This session is for women experiencing:
- Bladder or bowel leakage
- Pelvic organ prolapse (e.g., bladder, uterus, rectum)
- Menopausal pelvic floor concerns
The session aims to provide you with practical advice to improve your bladder, bowel or prolapse symptoms
What to Expect:
- Lifestyle and behavioural strategies
- A better understanding of pelvic floor anatomy and function
- Common causes incontinence and prolapse
- Guided pelvic floor muscle exercises
- Advice on safe exercise
- Opportunity to ask questions and share experiences in a safe environment
