Visiting Postnatal Wards
Visits to mums and babies in Holles Wing, Fitzwilliam Wing and Merrion Wing.
Nominated support partners visiting times:
8am – 9pm Daily
Each patient is issued a green visiting card for their partner or nominated support person. The visiting card must be shown on entry to the ward. Visiting may be paused temporarily during clinical care or ward activity.
Adult visitors and siblings of the newborn/s:
2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm Daily
Please note, as per policy, a maximum of two adult visitors are permitted per patient at any one time.
Visiting Antenatal Inpatient Wards
Visits to patients in Pembroke wing.
Nominated support partners visiting times:
8am – 9pm Daily
Other visiting is dependent on your individual care. Please discuss with your midwife as needed.
Visiting Gynecology Inpatient Wards
Visits to patients in Iveagh wing.
Nominated support partners visiting times:
8am – 9pm Daily
Adult visitors and children of inpatients are welcome to visit:
2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm
Visiting Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Visits to patients in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Parents
Parents of babies in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) are welcome to spend time with their baby/babies at any time.
Grandparents
Grandparents visiting times:
5:30pm – 7:30pm Daily while accompanied by a parent.
Children
Children are not permitted to visit NICU.
Illness Visiting Advice

The National Maternity Hospital will make every effort to accommodate exceptions to our visiting policy on compassionate grounds when the need arises.
